Healthcare Toolkit Systems Integration

In this project, we will study how to best integrate the AASPIRE Healthcare Toolkit into three different health systems (Kaiser Permanente Northern California, OHSU, and Legacy Health System) and will look at the effects on autistic patients, providers, and support staff.

This is a new project starting in December 2018. More information as it develops.

AASPIRE Healthcare Toolkit

The purpose of this project is to develop and try out an interactive healthcare toolkit. The toolkit is meant to help improve healthcare access and quality for adults on the autism spectrum. The project consists of three research studies. Results of the first two studies were used to develop the toolkit. In the third study, we tried out the toolkit to see how it works in the real world.

This study is closed to new participants.

Healthcare Study 1

This study focuses on healthcare experiences of adults on the autistic spectrum and non-autistic adults with and without disabilities. It aims to better understand health care inequities, including barriers to receiving quality health care. AASPIRE’s long-term goal is to improve healthcare access and quality for adults on the autistic spectrum.
